AARON FINKBINER
Aaron Finkbiner's work is Abstract Expressionism. His points of departure are architecture, landscape and raw nature. He then deconstructs his foundation, and in the break up he paints intuitively, trying to balance the emotional and the contemplative.
Aaron's painting is influenced by Gerhard Richter and Jackson Pollock and is characterized by texture, energy and rhythm. Each painting is created by many layer-over-layer approaches, with nuances that invite close examination.
Aaron's first art teacher was Neil Di Sabato at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in Philadelphia. Di Sabato's guidance and encouragement led Aaron to plein air study in Buonconvento, Italy and then to study abstract expressionism in Palm Springs, California with Kwok Wai Lau. Lao's influence on Aaron's work has been transformational and continues to this day as is shown in the freedom of Aaron's paintings.
