BRUCE KIMERER
Bruce Kimerer moved to the California desert from New York in 2011. His most recent focus is on a series of nocturnes.
“All charcoal on paper, they are set mostly in my immediate neighborhood. I love the bright sun and intense color of Palm Springs but I’m also captivated — perhaps even more so — by the still of the desert night. The velvet dark. And, of course, by the light, sometimes faint, sometimes blinding, that leads us through the darkness to somewhere unknown.”
Bruce has exhibited at the National Academy of Design in New York as well as at galleries in D.U.M.B.O., Brooklyn, the Hudson Valley, Joshua Tree and the Coachella Valley.
